Dear Staff, Students, and Families,

This notice is to inform you that a second individual at Massabesic Middle School (MMS) has tested positive for COVID19. As a result of the Maine CDC contact tracing process, RSU 57 has been informed that members of 6th Grade Team Carrabassett at Massabesic Middle School and MMS/MHS riders of Bus 1471 are considered “close contacts.” Impacted students/families have been notified and will initiate their quarantine today, per Maine CDC guidelines. At this time, no other RSU 57 community members have tested positive for COVID19 as a result of their exposure as it relates to this event.

Importantly, however, as a result of staffing shortages resulting from quarantine necessities, Massabesic Middle School will be fully remote learning effective Monday, September 28th.

Please visit the RSU 57 website for the entire notice.
