Finals Work Expectations & Credit Recovery School FYI!

“Hi All! Finals Week is an important time for students to both demonstrate proficiency and understanding with their final assessments and to complete make-up work/ pass in assignments that have not yet been finished. It is our expectation that ALL students who have missing work, make-up work or incomplete work stay for the full day! These students are NOT to be dismissed early or have late arrival!

From my review of email along with conversations with staff about students in difficulty over the last month I am confident that our teaching staff has been doing an excellent job keeping both students along with their parents & guardians advised of student difficulties, failures, missing or incomplete work. If you have any questions about whether or not your son or daughter fits into one of these categories please take a look at your son or daughter's Infinite Campus (IC) information tonight. Checking IC along with an email to a teacher is the best way for you to check your son or daughter's progress along with missing work as we end Trimester 3. We are not perfect and there may be some mistakes so it is best to catch them now. We will do what we need to do to help students finish needed work.

Please remember that a student's grade may not be the entire story as a student might have a couple of missing assessments that may or may not of yet been taken into account for their grade, and so may need to complete work.

If your son/daughter has had grade issues previously and/or has trouble getting work in on time and/or completed please assume they have work to complete or finish! I will be sending out an instant alert tonight to some of our students' families where a student has stuff to complete, but it won't be a complete list and so the best way for parents/guardians to stay informed is to check IC and/or email your son or daughter's teachers.

Attached is a letter for parents/guardians who think their son or daughter might need Summer Credit Recovery School. It explains our program and it's expectations. Please keep this handy until you are sure your son or daughter is all set.

Thanks!”
