2/9/16 - Good evening, this is Christian M. Elkington Principal of MHS calling with a couple of announcements:

Our Varsity Boys’ Basketball Team travels to the Portland Expo this Thursday night to take on Scarborough HS in the Class Double A Tournament. Game time is 8pm. Our boys team has had an excellent season going 14-4 this year. This is the first tournament appearance for our boys since the 04-05 season and our best regular season record since 2000-2001. We look forward to these student-athletes continuing to make us proud with a long, tourney run! Go Mustangs!

We will have a Fan Bus for students wanting to go to the game Thursday night. It will leave from MHS at 6:30 PM Thursday. The cost for the bus will be $3.00 per student and we can take up to 50 students. Students need to sign up for the bus and pay the fee in the main office or the athletic office, by Thursday 7:30 AM. This fee does not include the cost for a game ticket, which students will purchase at the Expo. It would be great if we needed a second bus!

Our Unified Basketball Team continues to enjoy success and support from our communities! Our team has two games at home this week, tomorrow and Thursday both starting at 4:00 PM. We urge all to come and support these young people!

Thanks for listening and have a good night!

2/8/16 -
Good evening, this is Christian M. Elkington Principal of MHS calling with several announcements:

Report cards were handed out at the end of the day today. Please ask your son or daughter to share with you if they haven’t already. Thanks very much!

Congratulations go to six of our MHS Students who earned “Outstanding Student of the Quarter” at SRTC! Matt Hodgkins, Jack Cavanaugh, Leo Amabile, Alexander Dupras, Elizabeth Clock and Garredd Sanborn represented themselves, their families and our school with distinction! Super job “Mustangs!”

This past Saturday I was able to attend events around our state where “Mustang Nation” was well represented! In the morning our “Trackletes” represented us at the Southwesterns at USM, while in the afternoon our wrestlers competed at the Class A Regionals taking 3rd Place at Marshwood. Saturday night our girls’ swimmers took 2nd place at the Southwesterns at Cape Elizabeth! Not only did many of our student-athletes come back with much success, but they also displayed sportsmanship, class and respect! Well-done Mustangs!

Last, but not least well over 100 of our sophomores visited SRTC today to check out possible program options for the 2016-2017 School Year. It was reported to me that respect and dignity were displayed by all of our students, throughout the visit today! News like this is always appreciated!

Thanks for listening and have a good night!
