Dear Parents and Guardians,

 

It is my pleasure to share the following “Mustang Nation” information with you:

 

UPCOMING EVENTS:

 

Our Massabesic Mustang Theatre Program – Will be presenting the Jean-Paul Sartre play "No Exit" tonight 2/28 at 7:00, Sunday 3/2 at 2:00, and next Wed 3/5 at 7:00. These performances are in the newly refurbished MHS Auditorium. This is a one-act play that we will be presenting for competition at the MPA's One Act Theatre Festival on March 8th at Thornton Academy. We hope many of you can attend one these performances. Break a Leg MMTP!

 

Odyssey of the Mind is having a skating night fundraiser this Saturday, tomorrow, March 1st from 6:00-9:00 PM at West Brook Skating Rink in Biddeford. Admission is $3.00 per person.

 

Sanford Regional Technical Center Open House:  Interested in exploring what SRTC has to offer?  MHS parents and students are invited to the Open House on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, from 6:30 - 8:00 PM at SRTC.  For more information, please call (207) 206-1778. Thanks!

 

The Annual Senior Scholarship Meeting – Will be held during Activity block on Monday, March 10th. All seniors will be receiving the 2014 scholarship packet at this time and should attend.

Results of the 33rd Annual – Maine High School Concerto Competition shared with us that congratulations go to Devin Adams, for earning 1st Place for Bassoon! Well-done Devin!

 

Congratulations go to - Austin Marhak who is being recognized as a Hero by the Red Cross for saving two swimmers from drowning last summer! Super Job Austin! We are proud of your efforts!

 

Three cheers go to – Zachary Peters (choral), Rebecca Smith (choral), Jared Vigue (choral), Devin Adams (instrumental) and Justin Leach (instrumental) for earning All-State Recognition! We are VERY proud of you!"

 

 

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

 

Any student who has not met with - Our Activities Director Mr. Scully to sign up for a spring sport needs to do so as soon as possible.  Even if a student has played a fall or winter sport this year you must meet with the Activities Director to be cleared to participate. Thanks very much!
