As a reminder, the RSU 57 Curriculum Committee warmly invites all students, staff, and community members to attend an upcoming Community Forum on Tuesday, May 13 at 6:00 PM in the Massabesic High School East Training Center. As part of our ongoing commitment to building meaningful partnerships, we value your insights and ideas as we explore new ways to collaborate in support of our students and the greater RSU 57 community. The evening will begin with a brief presentation, followed by a discussion focused on the four key areas of the Strategic Plan: students, staff, community, and facilities. Hello Mustang Nation - we are incredibly excited to host the 2025 edition of Prom this evening at Rustic Dreams in Lyman. We encourage students to be dropped off and picked up if possible due to limited parking. We will have canopies at the entrance to limit time outside for students in anticipation of wet weather this evening. Please conduct a final review of important information in the letter that is linked below and included in this post. We want to ensure a safe and successful event for everyone.

It is with great excitement and pride that we announce the recipients of the Model Mustang Staff Award for the month of March! This award is a tribute to those outstanding individuals who embody the qualities of a true “Model Mustang”; they inspire, lead, foster positivity, persevere, and excel in all that they do. Each Model Mustang was nominated by colleagues who took the time to acknowledge and celebrate their coworkers’ exceptional contributions to our district. Their hard work and commitment have not gone unnoticed, and we are grateful for the positive impact they have within RSU 57! This month's raffle winner is Kayla Midolo, 1st Grade Teacher at Waterboro Elementary!
"Kayla is a wonderful teacher and valuable colleague. She is an important team member to the WES staff and provides great ideas for her first grade team. She is able to balance both structure and fun into her teaching. She has a kind demeanor and her students absolutely love her. The way she teaches has created students that love to learn, a skill they will carry with them throughout their lives."

Massabesic Adult and Community Education (MACE) is proud to celebrate the 19 graduates who have earned their high school equivalency (HiSET) since July 1, 2024—with 8 more students on track to graduate before the end of this school year. Earning a high school credential opens the door to a wide range of opportunities. Our recent MACE graduates are considering career paths in fields like education, construction, electrical work, CNC machining, and military service. A high school diploma or equivalency is more than just a piece of paper—it’s a critical stepping stone toward a stable, meaningful career. In fact, 63% of jobs in the U.S. require at least a high school diploma, and individuals who earn theirs see, on average, a 53% increase in income over ten years. Whether you're looking for a better job, a more consistent schedule, or a fresh start, completing your high school credential is a powerful first step. We invite the entire community to join us in celebrating the accomplishments of these hardworking individuals at our upcoming graduation ceremony on June 18. All are welcome to attend. Contact Massabesic Adult and Community Education at 207-247-2022 to begin your journey today!
