Last night, the RSU 57 School Board recognized several individual and group achievements of students across the district.
First was the MHS Theatre Troupe, which placed third at the Class A Regional One Act Festival in March. Students performed "Wild Strawberries"; a play which is rooted in physical comedy in the style of commedia dell'arte. Several awards were given to the Troupe, including several "All Cast" awards, commendations for costume design, and they received the ensemble award!
Next, MMS 8th Grader Julia Bryant was recognized for her achievement as York County's Spelling Bee Champ for the second year in a row! Julia proudly represented RSU 57 at the State Spelling Bee in March at Bowdoin College.
Finally, the MHS Jazz Band was recognized for their performance at the MMEA All State Music Festival. Many soloists received commendations, and the band received a silver rating!
Congratulations, all!

Hello Mustang Nation - please review this letter that provides resources and support for students and families as we all process the loss of an MHS student.
